Instruction has been a big part of Kevin's passion throught the years
whether it be muisic or technology or whatever, Kevin has had a need to be instructed and to instruct. In 1992 Kevin Ryan and Mike Sherman created a very cool instructional video called "Steelin from the Steel"

It was a guitar instruction video in which the guitar student would learn the style of pedal steel guitar phrases through hearing the phrase on the steel guitar and then shown the phrase by nashville guitarist, Mike Sherman. They would actually hear and see played on the steel and see and learn it from the guitar player.. Very Cool!

In 1997 Kevin wrote a great steel guitar instructional booklet called "101 Hot and Sassy Steel Licks". It really is a no frills, completely usable lick book. It came at the time with a tape cassette so you that you could hear the examples.
